Did you know that you do NOT have to wait a week for a virus to "go away on its own"? Antiviral essential oils can hasten symptom relief.
You can take action yourself at home - and smell great while you're doing it!
Making your own aromatherapy remedies is an excellent way to protect your health naturally.
Don't get me wrong: There's definitely a time and place for prescription medication.
The problem is that many over the counter and prescription drugs have negative side effects, and your system often has to work to get rid of associated toxins.
Using natural remedies such as health-promoting foods and antiviral essential oils (don't forget washing your hands!) can be a good way to prevent some illnesses in the first place.
And if you do get sick, essential oils can often help relieve your symptoms and clear up the virus sooner.
Let's start with the best antiviral essential oils and then get 4 fast ways to use them to kill germs - and make your house smell great!

Put a drop of tea tree and a drop of lavender or lemon essential oil on a damp cloth and use it to wipe down surfaces.
Use for counters and tables, as well as door handles, phones, light switches, computer mice and keyboards - you want to cleanse and disinfect all the hard surfaces germy hands have touched.

Add 5 drops orange, 3 drops cinnamon and 3 drops clove essential oil to your aromatherapy diffuser or vaporizer for a warming, cleansing essential oil blend. Or use 5 drops peppermint, 5 drops bergamot and 3 drops eucalyptus for a fresh, invigorating, purifying blend.
This remedy is especially helpful for supporting breathing and opening stuffy airways. Boil a quart (liter) or two of water in a pot. Put the pot on a table (use a thick mat to protect the table) and add 1 drop tea tree, 1 drop thyme and 1 drop eucalyptus essential oil.
Use a towel to make a tent over your head and the steaming pot of oils. Stay in the 'tent' for 10 to 20 minutes, coming out for air whenever you need to. Do not burn your face!
No kidding. Use this massage oil blend morning and night to help boost your immune system and inhibit the growth of viruses attacking your system.
Place 10 drops lavender, 7 drops tea tree, 1 drop geranium, 1 drop palmarosa and 1 drop lemongrass in 4 tablespoons (60ml) carrier oil.
Massage into your feet, concentrating on the area above and below the base of your toes (reflexology points corresponding to the lymph/respiratory meridians.)
I've recommended Mountain Rose as my favorite supplier since starting out on this journey. I always research suppliers for quality, ethics, price and selection, and they're great on all fronts. So I feel good about offering their products to you.
Having said that, I have to share another supplier for essential oils that I personally now use because I've found their quality to be the best. I switched to doTerra after buying a few oils like lavender and tea tree and comparing them in my recipes.
What I found was that they worked faster and more effectively than any other brand I've tried. So I want to offer their oils to you as well. It's always good to have options, don't you think?
Here's how I see it...
Buy from Mountain Rose when you're watching your budget. Also for base ingredients like cosmetic clay and carrier oils.
Buy from doTerra when quality is your most important factor. You can shop retail by clicking the Shop button at the top. Or click Join & Save to become a wholesale customer and get 25% discount. Message me to learn more about the perks of going wholesale.
Buy from Amazon if you love variety. You can always find deals, and you'll never run out of options. Just remember that if you pay a low price you're going to get a low quality, especially in the land of essential oils. This is an area where you need to buy the best you can afford, trust me.
