Wax coming away from glass container

by PATRICIA
(AUSTRALIA)

After 48 hours the soy wax has come away from the sides of the glass container and has gone white. The colour was pinkish.

Also, when soy wax has set there are small streaks of colour seen at bottom of container. I have thoroughly stirred color in but still have these small streaks.

Frosting wax on glass NEW
by: Jeshafer1@hotmail.com

Hi Pat, no expert here, made my first batch yesterday, filled five 4 oz glasses and four had a frost effect on the sides of the glass. Probably melted to fast and poured too hot.

Took the bad ones and put in a pot of water halfway up the container and put on stove at simmer. Let the wax totally melt (with wick guards on) and took off to re-cool. After 12 hours they look great! Let you know more tomorrow.
Jerry
