Sensual Massage Oil Recipe

A body massage oil blend that warms you up inside and out!

sensual massage oil recipe Romance is in the air when your use this sensual massage oil recipe for a special night with your partner.

Sweet, spicy and exotic, this essential oil aphrodisiac blend warms, opens and relaxes your body and your senses.

Sandalwood, patchouli and ylang ylang soothe ragged end-of-day nerves and promote feelings of euphoria and well-being, while ginger warms and softens muscles.

Ingredients

8 drops Sandalwood essential oil

3 drops Sweet Orange essential oil

2 drops Patchouli essential oil

1 drop Ylang Ylang essential oil

1 drop Ginger essential oil

4 tablespoons (60ml) carrier oil of your choice such as apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil or sunflower oil

Method

Combine all ingredients in a dark glass or PET plastic bottle. (I recommend using one with an oil or lotion dispenser cap so you don't accidentally pour it all over everything in the excitement of getting a massage.)

Wait at least 24 hours after blending to let the aromas 'cure'. Remember to keep the bottle in a cool, dark place. Use within three months.

If you want to make a larger amount of this massage essential oil blend, depending on the size of the bottle, simply double or triple the recipe. (Remember it tends to go rancid after about three months.)

Caution

Ginger may irritate sensitive skin, which is why it's at such a low concentration. If you're exceptionally sensitive, leave it out.

Sweet Orange may cause photosensitivity and sunburn. Do not use before sun exposure.

Where to Get Stuff

You can find a good selection of basic ingredients such as carrier oils from Mountain Rose Herbs, as well as any essential oils you might need.

They also have some great glass bottles for storing your aromatherapy recipes. (Just remember to use them up quickly if you choose clear glass - essential oils are light sensitive.)
