Saffron Natural Hair Dye Help

by Cindy
(California)

I have wiry white hairs starting to stick up on top of my head! My hair is honey blond with a strawberry tinge.

I clipped a couple of the grays and decided to test the color by making a small amount of the saffron "tea," adding a couple drops of lemon juice and letting the hair sit in the mixture for a good 1/2 hour. The hair color didn't change at all.

Then, in case there was any residue on the hairs, I washed them with baking soda & water and then put them back in the saffron mixture for 1/2 hour. Still nothing.

Does it require heat or something else for it to work? Any other ideas? Thanks!!!

Saffron Hair Dye NEW
by: Kyley

Hi Cindy,

It works cumulatively over time, from a few weeks to over a month. None of the natural dyes except henna give instant results, and they're not as strong as commercial dyes either. Btw, don't use henna on color treated hair - they don't mix!
