Aromatherapy lemon oil is famous for being a great cleanser, and it's used in everything from skin and hair care to house cleaning recipes.

Lemon essential oil strengthens the immune system and cleanses the body. It can help bring down a fever and is good for throat infections, bronchitis, asthma and flu symptoms. (Use in conjunction with lavender for phlegmy coughs.)

Lemon oil soothes nerves and may relieve headaches and migraines.

Botanical Name and Characteristics

The lemon tree is a small evergreen that grows only about 10 to 20 feet high, with fragrant white flowers that develop into yellow fruit.

Fresh, light, tart, lemony scent, similar to fresh lemon rinds but more concentrated.
