Homemade Vanilla Soy Candles - Vanilla Didn't Mix - Help!

by Ashley

I made soy candles with orange and vanilla essential oils. They smell really good, but the vanilla never "melted" in with the wax, but left brown blobs. Did I do something wrong? What can I do next time to prevent that from happening again?

Vanilla Soy Candles - Vanilla didn't mix NEW
by: Jerry Snow

Read someplace, can't find at the moment, that Vanilla EO doesn't mix well with other or certain EO's.

FYI, my Aromatherapy Candles are wickless. The flame from a wick destroys a significant portion of the EO. Try wickless and I will bet you find a big difference in the scent throw.

Vanilla Essential Oil NEW
by: Jesyka

I don't know but I am glad you posted that because I was going to try it. My Soy/Essential Oil candles smell good when you sniff but when I burn them they don't produce a scent. Do you have any tips on how to make them better? I'll go through your blog and see if I can find anything. Wish I could help.
