This homemade all purpose cleaner is one of the quickest, easiest homemade cleaner recipes you'll ever make.
This recipe is non-toxic and gentle enough to use just about anywhere, but it still has excellent cleaning power. Plus it kills germs and bacteria - and only costs pennies to make! What's not to love?
You can use it everywhere: Spray it on your sinks, toilets and counter tops to disinfect them. Spray it onto a cloth and damp-wipe to dust your furniture. Use it to clean your car, your office, your patio furniture...
The only thing you don't want to use it on is windows and mirrors. Click here for glass and window cleaning recipes.
1 teaspoon borax (optional; strengthens cleaning power)
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 cups water
30 drops essential oil blend (see below)
Handy Hint: Add the essential oils AFTER you pour the cleaner into the bottle because the essential oil's scent can "stick" to your measuring cup or pitcher.
Mountain Rose Herbs is my favorite supplier for essential oils and other aromatherapy recipe ingredients. Here's some quick links for buying disinfectant essential oils. (Also borax in case you can't find it locally.)
