home mix for conditioner

by debbie

I was told you could mix fabric softener with water and use as conditioner for your hair. I haven't tried it because I don't know the mix ratio; also my hair is color treated. Have you heard of this? If so what is the ratio?

home mix for conditioner NEW
by: Sheila

Hello there,.....I would just like to say from my own point of view and someone who makes every effort to use organic natural products......stay well clear from using fabric softener as a conditioner! It's bad enough using it on clothes. Many people get skin irritation just from this being on their clothes.
Here are some ingredients listed in Fabric Softeners:
5% cationic surfactants, perfume, butylphenyl methylpropional, hexyl cinnamal, alpha-isomethyl ionone, benzisothiazolinone, sorbic acid, benzoic acis, benzyl alcohol......

KInd Regards,
Sheila
