Grapefruit is a lovely citrus essential oil, with a light, sweet, happy 'flavor' (do NOT drink it - I mean an olfactory flavor!) that orange and lemon have to a lesser degree.

Grapefruit is terrific for clearing up blocked, oily, acne-prone skin, and it's often added to skincare recipes as a natural toner.

Although there's not much difference between white and pink grapefruit essential oil, more of the (slightly sweeter) pink grapefruit oil is generally produced (mainly due to supply and demand.)

Botanical Name and Characteristics

The grapefruit is a large, glossy-leaved evergreen tree that grows about 30 feet (10 meters) high. It has fragrant white flowers that develop into large, edible, pale yellow or orange-pink fruit.

Fresh, light, sweet-tart citrus scent.

Buy Grapefruit Essential Oil

I always recommend Mountain Rose first because I like and trust them. Their quality is excellent, their prices are good, and many of their essential oils are organic (and all of them are therapeutic grade.)

Or you could shop for grapefruit oil at Amazon. They have a number of different brands available at a variety of prices. (Just remember, you get what you pay for.) Happy hunting!

In terms of recommending suppliers, there's lots of really good suppliers out there, but I keep balking at the price. I can't in good conscience send you to a supplier whose quality is similar to Mountain Rose but who charges considerably (or even a little) more. I wouldn't do it myself, and I won't recommend it to you.
