Botanical Name and Characteristics
Citrus racemosa
The grapefruit is a large, glossy-leaved evergreen tree that grows about 30 feet (10 meters) high. It has fragrant white flowers that develop into large, edible, pale yellow or orange-pink fruit. Fresh, light, sweet-tart citrus scent.
Therapeutic Action
BlendingGrapefruit's medium-strength top note blends well other members of the citrus family, most spice oils, as well as cypress, geranium, lavender and rosemary.
CautionsGrapefruit oil may irritate sensitive skin and is photo-toxic. Do not use before sun exposure.
