Facial Recipes for All Skin Types

by Gill Anderson

Hi Kyley,

I am really enjoying your site and the recipes are to die for, I am using a lot of them now, and finding that people are coming back saying how much better they feel and how much their skin has improved.

I am using the recipes for the cleanser, toner and moisturiser a lot, but as I am starting my own business, and will be doing it mobile I don't want to be carrying around a lot of bottles, so I was wondering if you had any recipes for a cleanser, toner, face scrub, face mask and moisturiser for all skin types?

Or do I need to look at all the base oils and see which ones are used for each skin type and eliminate the ones that are not and do it that way?

Your input would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Choosing facial recipes for all skin types
by: Kyley

Hey Gill,

I'd say you want to use carrier oils suitable for all skin types, such as sweet almond, jojoba or apricot kernel.

And go with balancing essential oils such as ylang ylang and geranium, plus lavender which is good for all skin types. The balancing eo's will bring any skin dryness or oiliness back into proper balance without drying out the skin.

So I'd suggest that if you want to use the facial recipes on my site, then modify the ones recommended for Normal Skin and adapt them as above.

Oh yeah... I would stay away from aloe, since I've heard a few people say that it makes their skin tight and uncomfortable.

Good luck, Gill, and thanks for asking!
