I have a friend who was asking about a cream that her husband could use for sun spots, sun damage on his face.
Would the Homemade Face Cream work for him?

I made the cream for sunspots.
I chose the Castor Oil.
The Castor Oil is thick. It gives a nice layer of moisturizing protection to the skin.

I will let you know how my friend likes the cream.

Lotion Recipe for Dark Under Eye Circles

Hi Bonnie,

That lotion recipe would definitely be good for dark under eye circles on women and men.

You might reduce the number of grapefruit seed extract drops to 5 or so because it could irritate sensitive eye skin.

BUT... You have to keep it in the fridge or it will go moldy over time. Or make a smaller batch and use it up quickly.

Face Cream Recipe for Age Spots

Hi Bonnie,

Yep, you could make the face cream recipe for him, but substitute as follows:

2 tablespoons (8g) Emulsifying wax
1/3 cup (75ml) Castor or Kukui Nut oil
1 tablespoon (15ml) Vegetable Glycerin
1/3 cup (75ml) Sandalwood Hydrosol
1 teaspoon (5ml) Vitamin E
10 drops Grapefruit Seed extract
10 drops Frankincense essential oil
5 drops Benzoin essential oil
5 drops Lemon essential oil
5 drops Sandalwood essential oil
5 drops Patchouli essential oil

Frankincense, lemon and benzoin bleach out dark spots, while sandalwood and patchouli repair skin damage.

Castor oil and kukui nut oil are especially good for sun damage. If you want, you can replace up to 10 percent of the carrier oils with any combination of borage, rosehip or sea buckthorn oil to make it even stronger for healing the sun damage.

REMEMBER:
Lemon EO can cause sunburn - this is a NIGHT CREAM ONLY unless you omit the lemon oil.
