Aromatherapy for Beginners
In my early aromatherapy days, I found the number of recipes
overwhelming. I wanted something simple, clear and affordable, with
recipes that included the oils I already had in my cupboard. But that
was like looking for a needle in a haystack... so I wrote it myself!
The The 5 Oils Toolkit is the book I wish I'd had when I was starting out!
It's a downloadable eBook you can read right on your computer, tablet or phone. It focuses on 5 popular essential oils...
Lavender | Lemon | Oregano | Peppermint | Tea Tree
... And includes more than 40 essential oils recipes, plus over 75 Instant Tips for using the oils for everyday health and happiness. For example:
Warts. Apply 1 drop of Oregano
to the wart (dilute for sensitive skin - it's a hot oil) then layer on 1
drop of Lemon and 1 drop of Peppermint. Cover with a band aid. Do this
twice daily until the wart disappears.
Nightmares. Make "Monster
Spray" by putting 1 cup of distilled water into a fine-mist spray bottle
and adding 5 drops of Lavender oil. Help your child spray the monsters
away. If you're a grownup, just spritz your pillow for a restful night's
Burns, Cuts, Stings & Bruises.
Apply 1 drop of Lavender directly to the injury or sting and cover with
a cool damp cloth. Repeat every 20 minutes until the pain is reduced.
