Essential Oils Perfume Blends

Darkly Mysterious
8 drops Sandalwood, 3 drops Lavender, 1 drop Cedar

Floral Romance
5 drops Palmarosa, 3 drops Rosewood, 1 drop Rose Geranium, 1 drop Ylang Ylang

Fountain of Youth
9 drops Grapefruit, 1 drop Rose Geranium, 1 drop Ylang Ylang

Did you know... The smell of grapefruit makes women seem younger to men.

Researchers at the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago found that the scent of pink grapefruit makes a woman appear an average of five years younger to men. (I need lots of this one...)

Luscious Lavender
6 drops Lavender, 4 drops Frankincense, 1 drop Rosewood

Rose Garden
6 drops Rose, 3 drops Rosewood, 1 drop Jasmine or Ylang Ylang

Sensuously Spicy
8 drops Sandalwood, 2 drops Sweet Orange, 1 drop Patchouli, 1 drop Ylang Ylang

Sweet Enough to Eat
5 drops Vanilla, 4 drops Cocoa Absolute, 1 drop Ylang Ylang

Upbeat n' Happy
5 drops Bergamot, 5 drops Pink Grapefruit, 1 drop Rose Geranium

Method

  1. Use a funnel to pour the oil and alcohol into a 2oz (50ml) dark glass or PET plastic bottle. Drop in the essential oils.
  2. Cap the bottle and shake it to mix everything together. Keep it in a cool, dark place for two weeks to let the essential oils perfume recipe 'cure'. Shake the mixture several times a day.

A friendly reminder: More and more people are becoming sensitive to perfumes - even natural ones. (For example, my mother gets migraines when she's exposed to any perfume.)

Please be sensitive to their needs and don't wear your aromatherapy oil perfume when you think it might cause anyone discomfort.

You can find jojoba oil from Mountain Rose Herbs, as well as any essential oils you might need. They also have some nice little glass bottles for storing your aromatherapy recipes. (Just remember to use dark glass - essential oils are light sensitive.)

Just so you know... A small commmission is sent to Easy-Aromatherapy-Recipes.com each time you buy from Mountain Rose Herbs by clicking on one of my links to their website.

I realize this is one extra step for you; please understand that this makes it possible for me to continue to publish free aromatherapy recipes and other information for you to enjoy.

Thank you for your support, and please let me know if there are other things I can find for you.
