Thank you for you comments, While the vigorous rubbing is not possible due to severe painful sensitivity, I think the Peppermint treatment with the heat and towel should give relief and I plan to tty it.

Essential Oils for Neuropathy NEW
by: Kyley

I did some research on neuropathy, and my understanding is that the goal is to use the oils (plus massage) to create a need for blood flow to the affected areas to create new vascular tissue.

Any essential oil that has circulatory properties can be used, including basil, coriander, cypress, grapefruit, lavender, marjoram, peppermint and wintergreen.

Three things are important for neuropathy: exercise/stimulation, massage and heat.

Add a couple drops of essential oil to a teaspoon of carrier oil, then massage vigorously into the affected area for about 10 minutes.

Finish with 2 drops of peppermint then cover with a hot moist towel layered with a dry towel over top to keep the heat in. Leave it on for about 10 minutes.

Consistently is critical for success.

I know that didn't answer the copaiba question directly, but I hope the information is useful :)
