Can you melt soy wax in the microwave for homemade candles?

Q: Hi, I was wondering if you can melt soy wax for candlemaking in the microwave.

A: No, it's not a good idea. The wax doesn't melt evenly and you get a poor product. Click the link for step-by-step candle making instructions.
