Can I use nut butters in a lotion recipe?

I got a bunch of edible butters, like peanut butter, almond, sunflower blah blah blah

Can I use these like you would cocoa butter or shea?

Nut butters in Lotion Recipes
by: Kyley

Hi there,

No, nut butters won't work in lotion recipes. They have a different composition than butters such as cocoa butter or shea butter. Only the very solid, waxy butters specified in lotion recipes will work.

Hope that helps!
