Summer Rose Bath Salts Recipe
Find some soothing stress relief in this sweet recipe for bath salts
Escape to a garden of summer roses with this sweetly scented aromatherapy bath salts recipe.
Calming, relaxing and sensuous, their delightful scent takes you away from it all -
especially if you lock the door!
Ylang ylang and plamarosa essential oils calm your mind, lift your mood and promote feelings of well-being,
while rose, rosewood and rose geranium balance your nervous system and your hormones.
Excellent for day-to-day stress, as well as PMS and menopause.
Skincare Bonus
This bath salts recipe has the added benefit of soothing and repairing your skin.
Rosewood and Palmarosa are especially good for eczema and psoriasis.
Use Dead Sea or Himalayan pink salt for healing skin conditions - they're the most nourishing.
Tip: For an extra skincare boost,
add a tablespoon of your favorite carrier oil.
Summer Rose Bath Salts Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups Himalayan Salt or Dead Sea Salt
1/2 cup Baking Soda
6 drops Palmarosa essential oil
4 drops Rosewood essential oil
2 drops Rose essential oil
2 drops Rose Geranium essential oil
1 drop Ylang Ylang essential oil
Optional: 10 drops red food coloring
Directions
- Mix salt and baking soda together in a bowl using a metal spoon (a wooden or plastic spoon will
absorb the essential oils and be ruined.)
- Drop in the essential oils and food coloring, placing each drop in its own little spot
on top of the salts. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
- Store your essential oil bath salts in a
dark glass or PET plastic jar. Let cure at least 24 hours before using.
If rose essential oil is too costly, you can leave it out - the recipe will still smell good (just not quite AS good!)
