Time for yourself

I can completely relate to what it is that you are feeling. Unfortunately, life has us so wound up and running around crazy the smallest thing sets us off sometimes. I have to say aromatherapy has done a lot for me and my moods.

I found that what I needed was time for myself. For me personally I love to take hot baths with some aromatherapy candles lit. It gives me a sense of calm and I just lay there and sort out all my problems. It gives me something to look forward to at the end of the day. Lord knows sometimes I am checking off the long list of things as I go through the day and can't wait for that last thing on my list which is MY bath time! I found a company that carries all kinds of candles that are all natural and the candles give off such a soft not intrusive fragrance. Check them out at www.theearthselements.com. My friend is the owner of The Earth's Elements and she actually started the business because of the same problems we have... and she just wanted to add a little something to her life and in turn is trying to do the same for other people.

Keeping Your Cool

Hi Kaitlyn,

I have a really terrible temper too. I've worked REALLY hard to get control of it, since it can do so much unfixable damage. So I can relate!

I know this isn't about aromatherapy, but honestly, the best tool I've yet found is Time Out. When I feel the rage rising, I say "I need a time out" and I walk away and do deep breathing until I can calm down. Nowadays, I can feel my temper rising, and I just quietly walk away before I get to the part where my temper is up.

The part where you go somewhere else to calm down would be the perfect time to use essential oils. Rosie's suggestion of Lavender is excellent, and I also swear by Bergamot, just sniff it straight out of the bottle. Three really long, deep breaths will help.

My mom literally bites her tongue between her teeth not to say anything mean. (I get my temper from her!)

I've gotta go - got an appointment to get to, but if I think of anything else, I'll come back later. Good luck!!!

WELL, THE ONLY THING I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT, YOUR GONNA BLOW A GASKET IF YOU DONT'T SIMMER DOWN, THE BEST OIL I'VE FOUND TO CALM MYSELF IS LAVENDER OIL, GOOD LUCK!!
