Are all these recipes on this website - for storing? or use once made?

Hello all,

I find this website great and a lot helpful!

I wanted to know if the recipes mentioned on the website - are they for lotions, cleansers, scrubs, etc that can be made and stored a couple of months or use?

I understand that recipes with fruits and other fresh ingredients won't last - but what about the other recipes?

for eg., Homemade Facial Cleanser for Normal Skin; the Brown sugar Scrub, etc

Any help would be great!

Storing your essential oil recipes

Hi Rima,

I'm glad you like the recipe - I have a lot of fun testing and posting them.

All of the recipes on this site are meant to be stored in either dark glass or PET plastic containers and kept in a cool, dark place for up to about one month. Some products will last longer, especially if you keep them in the fridge.

Lotions, for example, have grapefruit seed extract and vitamin E in them, both of which help kill bacteria that make them go bad. They could last up to as much as three moths if you store them properly (NOT in the bathroom!)

Some of the other recipes, such as the scrubs, won't last as long because they don't have any germicide in them.

My best advice is: Use your nose - if it smells "off" it probably is. Hope that helps!
